In our meeting, I want to focus on these two figures then so important in the life of Jesus, the Church and in our lives, with two brief thoughts: the first at work, according to the contemplation of Jesus
1. In the Gospel of St. Matthew, in one of the moments when Jesus returns karenmillen to his country, to Nazareth, and speaking in the synagogue, it is emphasized karenmillen to the amazement of his countrymen for his wisdom, and the question asked: "Is not this the carpenter's son? "(13:55). Jesus enters into our history is among us, born of Mary by the power of God, but with the presence of Saint Joseph, the legal father who protects him and teaches him also his work. Jesus is born and lives in a family, the Holy Family, learning the craft from Saint Joseph the carpenter shop in Nazareth, sharing with him the commitment, karenmillen effort, satisfaction, and also the difficulties of every day.
This reminds us of the dignity and importance of the work. The book of Genesis tells us that God created man and woman entrusting them with the responsibility to fill the earth and subdue it, that does not mean hack it, but to cultivate it and guard it, care for it with his work (cf. Gen 1:28; 2 15). The work is part of the plan of God's love, we are called to cultivate and care for all the goods of creation, and in this way participate in the work of creation! Work is a fundamental element for the dignity of a person. The work, to use an image, there "greasy" dignity, fills us with dignity; makes us like God, who has worked and worked, always acts (cf. Jn 5:17), gives the ability to keep yourself , his family, to contribute to the growth of their country. And here I think of the difficulties which, in various countries, today meets the world of work and enterprise, I think of how many, and not only young people are unemployed, many times due to a purely economic conception of society, which seeks profit selfish , outside of the parameters of social justice.
I wish to extend to all an invitation to solidarity, and to the heads of public encouragement to make every effort to give new impetus to employment, this means caring for the dignity karenmillen of the person, but above all I would say do not lose hope; St. Joseph also had a hard time, but he never lost faith and has been able to overcome them, in the certainty that God does not abandon us. And then I would speak especially to you young boys and girls to you: strive in your daily duties, in the studio, at work, in relationships of friendship, helping toward others, and your future depends on how well you know these precious living years of life. Do not be afraid of commitment, sacrifice and do not look to the future with fear, keep hope alive: there is always a light on the horizon.
I would add a word of another particular karenmillen work situation that bothers me: I am referring to what we might define as the "slave labor", the work that enslaves. How many people karenmillen worldwide are victims of this type of slavery, where is the person who serves the job, and the job must be to provide a service to people because they have dignity. I ask the brothers and sisters in faith and all men and women of good will a decisive choice to combat trafficking karenmillen in persons, in which the figure karenmillen "slave labor".
2. Reference to the second thought: in the silence of the daily, St. Joseph, karenmillen together with Mary, have one common center of attention: Jesus They accompany and guard with tenderness and commitment, the growth of the Son of God made man for us, reflecting on everything that happened. In the Gospels, St. Luke emphasizes twice the attitude of Mary, which is also that of St. Joseph, "He guarded all these things, pondering them in her heart" (2,19.51). To listen to the Lord, we must learn to contemplate, to feel his constant presence in our lives, you have to stop to talk to him, give him space with prayer. Each of us, even you guys, girls and young people, so many this morning, should ask: what space do to the Lord? I stop to talk to him? Ever since we were kids, our parents have accustomed us to start and end the day with a prayer, to teach us to feel that the friendship and the love of God accompany us. Most of us remember the Lord in our days!
And in this month of May, I would like to recall the importance and beauty of the prayer of the Holy Rosary. Reciting the Hail Mary, we are led to contemplate the mysteries of Jesus, that is, to reflect on the key moments of his life, because, as for Mary and St. Joseph, He is the center of our thoughts, of our attention and our actions. It would be nice if, especially in this month of
