Wolf Schneider: The soldier - a review
Wolf Schneider, 89 years old journalist and style of language teachers, has written an obituary for the soldiers. Because of this it going to end: He'll be replaced - and had already been replaced ashley stewart in part - by drones, bombs, special ashley stewart forces ashley stewart and the programmers of a cyberwar. The soldiers he defined as someone who "belongs to the regular armed forces of a State" - and here the loud thesis of his 544-page book begins (The Soldier - order here) to crumble.
Even drones operator bomber pilots and commandos are those members of regular armed forces. Even if you close summarizes his definition of the soldiers, that only refers to the normal men with their dusty faces in the trenches and field camps in battles or on patrols, Schneider ashley stewart seems unconvincing. Special Forces need for their actions, the external fuse, the camp, the supplies and the stage: This is all courtesy of normal soldiers. A quick look at the Bundeswehr is sufficient to contradict Schneider: In all likelihood they will be used in the future for "stability operations", ashley stewart and these are not possible without infantry.
Novelty despite ashley stewart the poverty of the main thesis: the book is worth reading! Schneider tells how the war from people hunting and battle arose, how it has developed the weaponry and for what reasons men opted for a life as a soldier. ashley stewart Schneider has served himself and brought it into the Wehrmacht until the sergeant. Probably his thoughts about what soldiers died, and the descriptions as "verreckten," precisely because of particularly impressive.
With the weight of this experience Scheider will legitimize his conviction, the soldier's sacrifice was in itself meaningless and the willingness to do just the result of false, silly or senseless ideas - what must sound depressing for the idealists among the soldiers. The logical conclusion he draws in the final chapter, "How can perhaps survive" by showing great sympathy for the deserter: This handle "of the motives of her ... so reprehensible as a bird entflattert the cage."
Schneider recalls ashley stewart at the same that peace is not the natural state of man, that man is not primarily a peace-loving beings, yes, that peace on earth - with Carl Friedrich von Weizsäcker spoke - "could be one of the darkest periods of human history": " So the soldiers would fall because of the gruesome three thousand year history ashley stewart last but still a little ray of sunshine, "he finished his obituary of the soldiers with a seemingly positive conclusion. ashley stewart
Killing and dying so only as abstract meaningful sacrifice? So there is no tyrannical peace on earth? If he had so fairly, then would the soldiers who go out of idealist reasons ashley stewart the army, in fact, the poor fools who do not compete for their people and their ideas, but sacrifice ashley stewart themselves involuntarily for the prevention of a tyrannical One World by the war keep it going. This top view Wolf Schneider is extremely interesting, much more interesting than the weak main thesis of the "obituary". It is the soldier, actually every fighter on earth, a higher consecration: This is a mental track, which you can pursue ashley stewart - and should.

I simply ashley stewart can not the thesis that war must be conducted in order to avoid an everlasting peace or a "tyrannical ashley stewart peace" one. Very obvious I find the idea that soldiers may not fully &
