Since 2001 I am interested in names. kanak I started with the brand names, product and company kana


In the box you write: these cookies do not have digestive properties. Yet I wonder if that name, which in English has to do with digestion and the digestive system, served to contribute to lasting success in the Italian market. A closer look, there are not many non-Italian cookies that are imposed on the shelves. I find it a singular naming. On the one hand the meaning of "digestive" is already present in the mother tongue, drew the Englishman kanak as the value of the product from the Union Jack placed in the back of the pack and on the other we record the conservation kanak of that significance kanak also in the target language. At the conclusion of this hypothetical virtuous circle, we find, however, the manufacturer's declaration: these cookies that do not have digestive properties. The world consumption is attentive, sometimes overly critical, sometimes he eats and drinks around. Almost certainly, in this case, there was the risk of incurring a potential kanak "deception" of the consumer, not so much coming from advertising (as often happens), but by the same name. Of course with a name like that is hard to believe that at least a little help to digestion these cookies do not give (however unlikely we will think these cookies based on wheat as "indigestible")!
I agree, I just bought them thinking that a little help in this regard would have given ... but alas I read the back only after they have already bought. Given the considerable cost of these cookies I guess I do not buy them anymore! Reply Delete

Since 2001 I am interested in names. kanak I started with the brand names, product and company kanak for the dissertation. The argument then became a book (Brand naming.'s Name-brand within kanak the system, Cleup, 2005). More of my contributions on the subject are scattered on the web and magazines, sometimes I found myself talking about it even in the universities. In short, despite not having done as the other naming the profession, I have not managed to get rid of it. Indeed. I am in this space to reflect on the need to continually find names, not just for children or pets. Playing with a title of an important book by Saul Kripke speak of "necessity of naming". Even the news is in some respects a matter of naming. The artists of the art system work like brand names, new technology and the web have imposed new logical naming. Even the houses (sorry, the residence), in the general mutation of our relationship with the living, seem to need a name, a "supplement of soul" would perhaps Henri Bergson wrote. Of all this story with no particular regularity, in this space.
